The Farm Park Project

Project Overview

The project was conceived to create a multi‑functional agricultural barn with integrated living accommodation above, enabling the owner to reside on‑site for the wellbeing of animals and enhanced security. The design supports continuous supervision and care, ensuring the farm park operates safely and efficiently.

Main Barn

  • Ground Floor: Dedicated to animal housing and care, providing sheltered, hygienic, and accessible spaces for livestock.

  • First Floor: Designed as comfortable residential accommodation, allowing the owner to live directly above the operational area.

  • Design Character:

    • Modern agricultural form with dark metal cladding and standing‑seam roof.

    • Elevated structure with balcony and spiral stair, blending practicality with contemporary rural aesthetics.

    • Layout ensures clear separation between residential and agricultural functions while maintaining visual unity.

Supporting Structures

Two additional 10 m × 10 m barns were developed to complement the main building:

  1. Workshop & Machinery Storage Barn – for maintenance, tools, and equipment.

  2. Feed Storage Barn – for secure, weather‑protected feed and bedding supplies.

Result

The completed design delivers:

  • A functional, visually restrained group of agricultural buildings.

  • On‑site living that enhances animal welfare and security.

  • A modern interpretation of rural architecture suited to educational and community engagement.
