Founder & Director of KJB Design & Planning
After 25 years in the building industry, Kieren Bentley launched KJB Design & Planning to offer homeowners a smarter, more personal approach to residential planning. His journey into design was shaped by experience — and a turning point. Following a serious injury that ended his hands-on construction career, Kieren chose to channel his deep practical knowledge into helping others improve and extend their homes through thoughtful, cost-effective design.
Having produced drawings as part of his previous business, he saw the need for plans that weren’t just compliant — but buildable, realistic, and tailored to each client’s vision. Today, Kieren combines technical precision with creative thinking, delivering planning-ready drawings for extensions, renovations, and conversions that meet council requirements and exceed client expectations.
Known for his collaborative style and attention to detail, Kieren guides clients through the planning process with clarity and confidence. From first sketch to final submission, his goal is simple: make great design easy to approve — and even easier to build.
